¡Hola y bienvenidos!

My name is Maria Jackson. I was born and raised in Neiva, Colombia. I moved to Bogotá where I earned my undergraduate degree in Microbiology (1981) and my Law degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (1993). I went on to practice law in Colombia for 18 years, developing deep expertise in legal language, procedure, and documentation in Spanish.

In 2009, I moved to the United States and worked as a Legal Assistant for 16 years alongside my dear late husband, deepening my knowledge of U.S. and Oregon law in English. During that time, I also built more than a decade of experience in translation and interpretation across legal, medical, and academic settings.

I’ve made my home in the Pacific Northwest, and I’m a devoted member of my community and a proud mother of two wonderful children. I’m committed to supporting the Hispanic community in Oregon and beyond. Whatever the project, I bring the same care, attention, and professionalism. I ensure every translation and interpretation is accurate, and I uphold the values of privacy and confidentiality.
